  Aug 15, 2021

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahostav, the 75th Independence Day was celebrated in the most reverend manner in Sainik School Kalikiri campus on Sunday by following all the Covid-19 protocols. The Principal of the school, Capt (IN) Vikrant Kishore hoisted the national flag after receiving the general salute from the NCC staff. The gathering honored the freedom fighters by observing two-minute silence. During his ceremonial address to mark the occasion, Capt (IN) Vikrant Kishore said a series of historic events and sacrifices were witnessed for nearly two hundred years before we got independence. “The ethos of our freedom struggle formed the foundation of modern India. Their thoughts and actions shaped the identity of India as a modern nation. Post-Independence, in these 75 years of individuality, our Nation has seen many scientific developments and inventions”, he said. He further said the country had momentously excelled in almost all the fields be it Agriculture, Science and Technology, Infrastructure, health and sports and standing tall among all the developed-nations and proved her mettle in the recently concluded Tokyo Olympics 2021 in which the country had won 7 medals to turn the Tokyo campaign into the country's most successful Olympic Games.
