SAINIK SCHOOL KALIKIRI CELEBRATED 76TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

The campus felt the breath of freedom and deep reverence in gratitude to the priceless sacrifices of great freedom fighters during the Independence Day celebrations. The school celebrated Independence Day with whole zest and zeal under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The campus wore a vibrant look of tricolour with Har Ghar Tiranga Campain. The Chief Guest Gp Capt CS Pardesi, the Principal hoisted the tricolour to commemorate the sovereignty of our nation. Everyone in the assemblage saluted the tricolour to express the joy of freedom. They paid tributes to all the martyred souls. The Cadets displayed a seamless march past with precise synchronisation to the school band. In addition to the march past, they presented mélange of patriotic activities such as speeches, dance and singing creating an atmosphere of national pride. Mrs Kamaljit Kaur, the Guest of Honour distributed sweets to all cadets. In his address, the Chief Guest said “Freedom and Power bring responsibility and as the future leaders you cadets should learn to shoulder higher responsibilities to become role models. We are all born in this independent country because the great freedom fighters underwent hard times and braved all the sufferings to wipe off tears from every Indian eye. We have to fulfil their dreams by rising above caste, creed and religion. Each one of us should work wholeheartedly towards the development of our Nation.” The Vice Principal Cdr (IN) Shyam Singh B Rathod, the Admin Officer Major Pankaj Sharma, staff, cadets and a large number of parents were present during the celebrations.
