TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION 2021

Teacher’s Day was commemorated & celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm at Sainik School Kalikiri, following the strict COVID protocols with the DS Cadets and Boarders in virtual mode. The Cadets extended a fanfare welcome to all the Teachers as a token of gratitude and reverence. The Chief Guest of the occasion Principal, Captain (IN) Vikrant Kishore extended warm greetings & wishes to all the teachers. The programme dedicated to the teachers on the auspicious day started with the prayer & lighting of the lamp to honour & pay homage to our First Vice President, late Shri Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan by the first lady Cdr Minakshi Sahay (Retd). The cadets presented an array of enthralling items like speeches, shlokas, songs, PPT presentations and positive humorous imitation of the teachers. ‘Guess Who I am’ turned the celebrations humorous with cadets emulating the officers and teachers. The Chief Guest, Captain (IN) Vikrant Kishore felicitated all the Teachers & Gurus of the Gurukul SSKAL as a token of gratitude, acknowledgement and appreciation for their hard work, commitment and dedication in discharging their duties in various capacities as, groomers, nurturers and trainers. During his address to the gathering, the Chief Guest emphsised that the Teachers play a pivotal role in the life of every child with their best minds, deeds & actions. He appreciated the efforts put in by each Teacher of the school and also lauded them for their commitment and dedication towards the noble cause of edification. He urged the teachers to continue with the healthy and disciplined life and create a positive learning environment for the cadets because every child is a valuable asset of the Nation. Further adding he said that a mother gives birth to a child only once but a teacher gives birth twice, one is while educating the child and the second one is while enabling the child to educate others, yet again. The Vice Principal Lt Col SK Mahapatro, SM , the Admin Officer Major Pankaj Sharma, Academic, Admin & General staff along with the day scholar cadets were in attendance for the programme.
