Vice-Principal

Lt Col Furquan Ahmad is an officer of the Army Education Corps (AEC) of the Indian Army. He was commissioned into the Indian Army on 10 June 2006 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on 10 June 2019.

Born and educated in Bareilly, he holds a BSc (CBZ), BEd with Specialisation in Educational Computing, MEd (Applied) and MA in English. During his military career, he has successfully undergone several professional and other courses and has gained wide-ranging experience in education, administration and military service.

Lt Col Furqan Ahmad has held various staff, administrative and instructional appointments at Formation Headquarters, Regimental Centre, Rashtriya Military School, OTA Gaya and Army Headquarters. In recognition of his contribution, he was awarded the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Commendation Card in March 2025 while serving at OTA Gaya.

He is married to Mrs Shagufta Afrin. They are blessed with a son and a daughter, who are studying in Classes XII and IX respectively at Sainik School Kalikiri.
